Mr and Mrs Grammer: Kelsey and Kayte headed straight to New York's Plaza Hotel after their Broadway ceremony this afternoon

The ink may still be drying on his latest divorce, but Kelsey Grammer is once again a married man after tying the knot with former air hostess Kayte Walsh in an intimate New York ceremony.

The couple exchanged vows in front of friends and family at the Longacre Theatre where Grammer had been starring in La Cage Aux Folles until recently.

During the ceremony, which was described as 'beautiful, intimate and touching' by one guest, the bride and groom read out poems they had written for each other.

The Broadway theatre was still decorated with props from La Cage Aux Folles, as well as huge bouquets of pink flowers, gold urns and many candles.

Grammer's adult daughter, actress Spencer, and his 5-year-old son Jude, whose mother is Kelsey's ex-wife Camille Grammer, joined the pair on stage. Kelsey and Camille's daughter Mason, 9, was not expected to attend the ceremony.

The Frasier star, 56, and his 29-year-old bride were later pictured arriving at the Plaza Hotel, where a lavish reception took place.

The actor was dressed in a smart suit, white shirt and gold tie while his bride opted for a simple satin and chiffon gown custom designed by Peter Langer for Mark Ingram.

Katye had managed a quick change after first arriving at the theatre wearing a white hotel bathrobe, Ugg boots and a big smile.

Actress Anjelica Houston and David Hyde Pierce, who played Dr. Niles Crane alongside Kesley in Frasier, were among the celebrity guests in attendance.

Earlier today, Kelsey checked into the hotel with a suitcase in tow after calming any pre-wedding nerves with a rainy morning stroll with his dog.

Security was extremely tight, with guests being required to bring both their invitation and a photo ID.

The theatre is special to the couple as Kelsey fell in love with Kayte while he was in the play and she regularly visited him backstage.

The actor received a Tony Award nomination for his role as manager of a nightclub where drag is performed.

The Plaza has hosted other high profile wedding parties for stars including Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas and Eddie Murphy and Nicole Mitchell.

It's Grand Ballroom has been transformed by celebrity event designer Ed Libby.

The room has been filled with hundreds of candles, large floral arrangements of blush pink and a long table for the newlyweds.

The evening was expected to begin kick off with drinks from the bar which featured the finest wines and spirits as well as a champagne toast to welcome the couple.

Kelsey's divorce from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Camille was only finalised earlier this month.

Last night the reality TV star admitted she is still coming to terms with the break down of her marriage.

The 42-year-old said: 'I feel like I'm losing my best friend,' Camille told Radar Online last night. "I do wish him well and I'll miss him.

'We spent many great years together and we've been through a lot. But at the end of the day, he's made his decision and I'll be fine.

'I've got a great support group, real and true friends and I'm moving forward with my life. I was sad and wanted to make things work but I'm completely fine now. I'm moving on.'

'Kelsey and I spent 14 years together and built a great life for ourselves. We have two children, and they mean the world to me.'

Camille spent the even of her ex's wedding with her Real Housewives stars.

She joined Adrienne Maloof, Kyle Richards and her sister Kathy Hilton at a party hosted by Lisa Vanderpump at her Beverly Hills restaurant, Villa Blanca.

'It's always good to be out and hang with the girls,' she said. 'They've showed me support through this very difficult time.'

Camille had previuosly said she planned to spend today with her daughter.
Mason decided to skip the nuptials to perform the song Fame at a talent show, according to Camille.

'My daughter has a talent show that day that she's been working on for two months now,' Camille told People magazine last week.

'I told her, "Mason, you can go. Please, if you want to go to your Daddy's wedding, please do," and she said, "No, Mommy. I want to go to my talent show."'

Camille insists the decision was entirely her daughter's.

'If Mason wanted to go, I'd let her go,' Camille said. 'I would never hold my children back from that.

'I would never want them to resent me for holding them back from their father's wedding.'

Former model Camille and Kelsey appeared to be happily married until the middle of last year, when it emerged that he had been having an affair with air hostess Kayte.

Kelsey has been married four times before.

His first marriage, to dance instructor Doreen Alderman ended in 1990 after eight years and one daughter Spencer, an actress on teen TV show Greek.

He then wed exotic dancer Leigh-Anne Csuhany, but that only lasted a year, before he married Camille in 1997.
