The Only Way Is Essex star Maria Fowler proves she's more than just an extra as she enjoys a girls' night out with Chloe Sims

Girls' night out: The Only Way Is Essex stars Maria Fowler and Chloe Sims enjoy a bottle of wine as they partied together last night

She was slammed for being nothing more than an 'extra' by her Only Way Is Essex co-star Kirk Norcross.

So Maria Fowler made sure she was the centre of attention and all eyes were on her as she partied in Essex last night.

The glamour model teamed up with fellow The Only Way Is Essex star Chloe Sims as they hit several bars and made their presence known.

Maria, 24, looked stunning in her asymmetrical black dress, her long chesnut hair teased into curls.

She teamed the dress with knee high socks and wedged ankle boots, while Chloe went for black leggings, a plunging black top and peep-toed shoe boots.

And they certainly seemed to be fighting off the male attention, with one particular man trying to get in on their girls' night out.

The pair started off at the King William pub in Chigwell before heading on to the Nu Bar in Loughton, where they had a bottle of wine and at one point got up to dance on the chairs.

And if Maria was bothered about Norcross's comments, she certainly wasn't showing it as she and Chloe let their hair down.

On this week's episode of The Only Way Is Essex, the club manager, 22, branded her a mere extra on the show after she told him off for dumping her flatmate Lauren Pope.

She mocked him for 'acting the big man' but sources on the show said he may be in for a rougher ride for knocking her status on the ITV2 hit show.

Speaking to the Sun, a source said: 'Kirk will rue the day he called Maria an extra.'

And she told the paper's TV Biz section: 'I am a feisty girl and I will always stand up for what I believe in even if this leads to confrontation.

'I love being part of The Only Way Is Essex. It's nice that the public get to follow our lives and all the drama that ensues.'

A lot on show: maria flashes her legs as she climbs into a waiting car and heads home
